Structural Floor: Eco-Joists

A slightly more expensive option is the Eco-Joist system which combines timber and nail plated steel webs that has integral voids that allow simple passage of all service ducting, wiring and plumbing. These can be used on the ground, intermediate floors and roof joists.

The Eco-Joist can be configured in whole range of specifications to provide the optimum solution for an engineered structural floor, this is decided on in conjunction with your architect at the design stage.

The Eco-Joists are pre-engineered in a controlled factory environment and delivered to site ready for assembly.

On site the Eco-Joist are installed to the required floor joist layout either on to the wall plate within a solid timber rim board or in to joist hangers. The floor is then sheeted with 22mm weather protected chipboard flooring.
