External SIP Walls

125mm, 150mm or 175mm Structural Insulated Panel

Build It Green Structural Insulated Panels form the inner leaf of external walls. They are constructed from 2mm x 12mm Oriented Strand Board (OSB/3) and 101mm, 126mm or 151mm rigid Polyurethane insulation core. They have excellent thermal performance with U-Values as low as 0.14 (W/m²K) or better. The insulation is integral to the Build It Green SIP Building System, and therefore eliminates the need and cost for cavity insulation.

The SIP panels are pre-engineered in a controlled factory environment and delivered to site ready for assembly.

Following the installation of the timber sole plate, the SIP Panels are assembled to form the external envelope of the building which may incorporate Structural Members if required. The external envelope is then covered with a waterproof breathable membrane ready for the External Finishes.

On the inner face of the SIP panel a plaster board lining is applied to achieve the required fire and acoustic performance. For further details see Technical Information.
