Party Walls

246mm Timber Frame Party Wall

Our standard recommendation for Party Wall is a twin Timber Frame wall. These have the advantage of being pre-engineered in a controlled factory environment and delivered to site ready for assembly.

They are constructed from two Timber Frame Stud walls (open side in) placed back-to-back with a 50mm cavity.

Each Timber Frame Stud wall comprises of 89mm x 38mm vertical timber studs at 400mm centre's with one side sheathed with 9mm Oriented Strand Board (OSB/3) leaving the opposite side open for the incorporation of services, e.g. plumbing & wiring.

The Timber Frame Party wall complies with Robust Details E-WT-2 when finished with plasterboard lining and insulation to their required specification.

Please note that Services & Plasterboard are not included within the SIP Building System.
