This modern contemporary design by Geoff Carter of Carter Associates is located in Falmouth, Cornwall.

A spectacular feature glass atrium joins the living accommodation which has been split into two wings. While creating a beautiful and naturally light living space, the atrium also aids the heating of the house by allowing heat from sunlight into the building. The thermal efficiency of the Build It Green SIP panels work to retain much of this heat reducing heating bills dramatically.

A large roof light in the extended roof provides a view from the second floor to the outside grounds. This design feature is difficult to produce using traditional roof trusses and rafter methods, but is easily accomplished using SIP technology.

The buildings exterior is finished with a simple white render which allows the complex and well designed architecture to speak for itself.

The whole Build it Green experience was professional and enjoyable, from the very interactive design stage, when the architect's design was followed to the letter, to the final product which was delivered and erected on time and millimetre accurate. We have ended up with a fabulous house that is a joy to live in. When you finish a self-build you have the opportunity to think which of the tradesmen and materials you would use again. We would definitely use SIPs again, they offer so many advantages over other forms of construction, and we would also definitely use Build it Green as they are such a nice company to deal with and the product is so good.
