Project Description
This large family home was designed by R.B. Goggin Partnership Architects, for Michael Bergstrom. It is a two story SIP panel structure incorporating structural steel elements. The first floor has a vaulted ceiling and three dormer windows, creating a large and well lit living space.
By using SIP panels, more internal space was achieved than standard timber built houses. The thinner panel design allows more space inside the house without losing any strength, or compromising on sound and heat insulation values. The roof design also makes the entire loft area usable as no trusses or rafters were used in the building.
You don't often deal with companies like this - friendly, flexible and professional. The company has an unsurpassable professional ethic, and the quality of workmanship is excellent. SIP technology will surely dominate the UK self-build market in the future and Build It Green are in my book, the UK's leading company in this field. My advice to anyone considering self-build is simple. Only use SIP technology and only use Build It Green to do it!Mike Bergstrom
