Client: Private (Self Build) Project Type: Housing Developments

Project Description

This two storey house with feature vaulted ceilings at first floor is situated in Seend, Melksham.

Exposed glulam ridge beams and purlins were used to support the SIP roof panels which allowed for the vaulted ceilings. These large and aesthetically pleasing beams were supported on structural posts running vertically within the SIP panels themselves, leaving no unsightly timbers visible internally.

Pre-cut structural openings within the roof panels ensured the roof lights were fitted accurately and with ease. Due to the vaulted nature of the first floor, these roof lights located on both pitches of the roof, provide natural light to the first floor rooms at all times of the day.

We would like to thank you for all your help and patience in dealing with this project, we are both really pleased with what has been achieved by your team. We have had many favourable comments from people in and around the village on the professionalism and corporate image of Build It Green. Please can you pass on our thanks to the team. Several builders have been interested and looked at the SIPs panel construction and have been very impressed by the idea. If you would like to use us as a reference or to show anyone the project, please feel free to do so. Terry & Janet James
